.NET framework on WISE computer

Hi.

A quick question.
There is more and more applications that needs .NET framework to be installed.
Is it wrong or right to have .NET installed on the computer you are doing your setup capture on?
I have done a snapshot on my Virtual WISE machine now where .NET framwork 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0 is installed.
Allmost all applications will install .NET for you if its not is installed but in many cases you maby dont want to record that in your setupcapture?

Just want's your opinion...

Thansk.

If you include it in your build, then you're going to save yourself the hassle of ripping it out of each capture, unless you set up a decent exclusion list.

Anyways, its sort of a pointless argument because aren't you going to need to install it for those applications that require it to be there before they can be installed/run?

Absolutely 100% agree with Dave (DM1): include it in your build. Also, be sure to read any installation documentation for apps so that, for those which require .Net, you deploy it as a dependency.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
