Nero 9 - silent Install

Hi All,

Seeking your valuable input on this.

I am doing a silent call to Nero9 setupx.exe
(Aas suggested in package KB http://itninja.com/link/sql-server-books-online---performing-an-unattended-installation9)

It suggests that in order to remove a feature from being installed, I should delete the corresponding App_ID folder.

My query is a converse of this.
Without any alteration, when the setup exe is called, (by deafult) the following features are not selected (ie 'X' ed out).

MovieTemplates_Pack1 (APPID=65 )
AuthoringTemplates_Pack1 (APPID=66 )
AuthoringTemplates_Pack2 (APPID=67 )
AuthoringTemplates_Pack3( APPID=68)

I am assuming that when setupx.exe scans the folders before it displays the list of features, it also reads the msi or the xml inside that folder for a deafault value (selected/not selected - other wise why would some features be de-selected, eventhough their folder is available/exists)

Does anyone know, how to make the features like MovieTemplates_Pack and AuthoringTemplates_Pack be selected during installation.

Once i can be sure that these features will be selected then i can use qb or qn to call the setupx.exe silently

Please help!!
I greatly appreciate any kind of hlep

Highest Regards
Emmy

Hello emmy12,

Try passing the setup.exe parameters to MSI using /v commands and put ADDLOCAL="ALL". i.e. setup.exe /s /v"ADDLOCAL=\"ALL\" /qb"
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
