MS Security updates packaging
I wonder if it has sense to package in a msi the MS Security Updates (KB...). I need to deploy them easily and I wonder if I can include in an msi one or more KB Security updates. What are the implications of doing that? And from the pure packaging point of view do I have to take any special consideration?

I'd recommend to use Microsofts official tool to deploy updates and patches: WSUS
I think you get better reports about the patch level of your machines and it will be hard repackaging those updates because of the Windows Protected Files.

We don't have WSUS in our current enviorment so what we do is use QChain and string multiple patches together with one reboot at the end. We distribute this type of package monthly to about 4000+ computers. We have had very good luck doing this.

All though WSUS is free it will not update for earlier then office 2003.

I guess what I was getting at that is if you already have a deployment tool to push MSI's, just use that to distribute your patches. MSI doesn't bring anything of value to the table in this scenario.

also would recommend using WSUS for this task. We have it running for a few monts now. Would like to have that few problems with all our deployment tasks...
It updates everthing from MS starting with Windows 2000, Office XP !!, all 2002 Version of Project, Visio etc.
