MS Outlook or Outlook Address Book Migration to Lotus Notes

Hi Guys,

Have any one tried automating MS Outlook or Outlook Address Book Migration to Lotus Notes using the Lotus Migration Tool (Nupgrade.exe 3 or 4).

If so, i would like to perform a silent migration. What kind of switches can be used to perform silent migration ?.

Ex : MSI -- Silent Switch is /qn
EXE -- Silent Switch is /s

In this case /s doesn't work..

Please let me know ASAP.

Thx

Hi Sathia:

in case /s doesnt work for setup.exe then you could probably try this

setup.exe /s/v/qn

but for running the above command you need to create an answer file that is:

setup.exe -r -f1c:\setup\setup.iss

once you run the above command it would run the installation in non-silent mode and would then create the answer file. Any more queries do get back.

Hi Bhupesh,

How are you doing?

I am sorry, this options cannot be used. Becos those switches has been disabled by the author of the exe. We have to provide the numeric switches inorder to execute the exe. Else cannot execute.

Noway, we have to perform only manual upgrade. I don't think there is an option to automate.

Any way, Thanks for you time.

Hi Sam:

In case you want to run the installation in silent mode then try looking for the outlook.msi file since the file has to be there do let me know.

Sorry Bhupesh,

Nupgrade.exe is an MFC Application doesn't have MSI...
