I'm guessing thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat a FF forum might be a better place to ask that question.
FF itself is configured using the special 'about:config' link but whether that extends to add-ins/extensions, I wouldn't like to say.

From my experience there are only a few extensions which also adds entrys in the FF configuration.
Everything else regarding the interface of Firefox is described in XUL. Thats an XML based language
which perhaps could be used to solve your problem.
I would ask your question in a Firefox developer forum there they can surely help you.
