Merge two MSI

Hi, i have two msi, the first one used to install the application and the second one to install the French language.

There is any way to install just one msi which install the application in french language

You *can* merge MSIs (the WI SDK has a script WiMerge.VBS for this exact purpose) but why would you want to? Whatever deployment system you use - even Group Policy - should be able to handle multiple MSIs.

  • I have already instaled these two MSIs and it works fine; i just want to known if it possible to lanuch just one msi(the merge of two MSIs) and how??

Could shove the French language pack inside the first MSI, then use a Custom Action to call/install it. Not the best practice method though. You would need to be tidy and have a Uninstall CA, for removing it of course.
