All components from a merge module will be listed in the ModuleComponents Table.
So by checking the Component column in the File table you can see if this component is listed in the above table.

Is it fair to say assume the following:

Wise: Keeps merge modules seperate and applies such merge modules during the install

Installshield: Integrates the merge modules directly to the package and executes them as part of the package instead of seperately.

I'm not using InstallShield but during merge the ModuleComponents table will be populated.
Don't think they handle modules in different ways, so this should be a safe way to check the files.

Unlike Installshield, Wise has a a section under 'Feature Details' called, 'Merge Modules' in which I can see the actual modules that will be implimented. This means that for installshield, in order to see which merge modules are being called, I have to look under the 'modulecomponents' table. This can be a bit cumbersome if you have quite a few merge modules.

Now that I look at your last answer, I can't see why I would ask such a dumb question. I think the thing I pointed out about Wise is a Wise feature that just makes life a little more convenient for us and is more graphical than anything.

In instashield also u have an option to viwe merge module like wise.. in fact the merge module inetrface is much easier than wise..

by default it will list merge modules from the repository > u have check box, to check and un-check mergemodule..

I hope your using installshield admin studio, editor: In the installation designer tab> left side you have various sub option in that

expand application data> u will find redistibutables> click on it , right side it will list all the merge modules..
