McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.5.0i license exipry type
Hi Friends,
I am installing McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.5.0i. During installation it ask for license expirty type. There are 3 options, 1 yr subscription, 2 yrs subscription and perpetual.
I want to make it perpetual...
I am using wise install tailor to capture this detail. After using installtailor, it captured a property called CLALICENSEPASSED with a value of True.
Strange thing is that it capture same property with a value of true even if I select 1 yr or 2 year.
I want to ensure that it capture Perpetual only.
Is there a property which can do it or is there a way I can ensure that only perpetual is captured?
Please provide your valuable suggestions.

Have you considered using the McAfee Installation Designer Tool? It's their free packaging tool to customize your McAfee Installation.
You can do a lot more than just set your license to perpetual.
Just my two cents.

I think installation designer is paid tool...can you give me a link to download or it can be downloaded from McAfee website?

It's a free download from the support portal on the McAfee site.
As you have the perpetual licence which is paid for - someone, somewhere within your organisation will be able to give you the login details for the site and you will be able to download the tool.

I am getting same problem of changing license type to perpetual while packaging McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.7.0i. I have installed the installation designer tool but i dont see the option to change the license expiry information to perpetual.
If any one of you know how to change it that info will be of great help to me.
