Hi all,

Has anyone packaged the latest MapInfo? I can't figure out where/how to pass the serial number.

Thanks,

Extract from the MapInfo Pro 8.0 Release Notes :

Completely Silent Install
To initiate a silent install:
1. Place the installation CD in the target computer’s disk drive.
2. From the command line on the target computer, type:
"d:\Install\MI_PRO\DISK1\setup.exe" /s /v"/q PIDKEY=MI##############"

So, from the above, the MSI property you need to supply in your repackage/transform is PIDKEY, setting it's value to the serial number you have been given for the product.

Release Notes PDF for MapInfo Pro 8.0 is available at the following link :

I created one with both Installshield 6.0 and Wise 7.0.
