machine vs user distribution of apps
hello,
if you were to implement a best practice in your environment what would it be?
tying distribution of applications to machines or tying them to users?
all comments welcome

Computer assigned apps as much as possible, particularly when it comes to vendor MSIs of any size. Little packages that are pretty much nothing more than shortcuts are okay to deploy as user-assigned though. We went full on into managed apps about 4 years ago, and somebody made the call way back then to try and go user assigned for everything, and that decision has been the bain of existence for the last year and a half (since I became the packaging and deployment guy). Save yourself - go computer assigned.
