I am having problems when I log on to my pc with a local account.

A domain account logs on and works fine but when a local account logs on, the user is authenticated (this doesn't look like a problem with the local SAM database), but nothing (the desktop doesn't) come up. It looks like a system which has hung!

Also I have created new admin. user and I still have the same problems. I have checked the User Rights Assignment and there isn't any problem there.

Does anyone have the faintest of ideas on how to troubleshoot the above error?
