Live Messenger upgrade don't uninstall previous version

I have been dealing with Live Messenger 8.0 and found the forumposts about installing it from a network share and so on.
My problem now is that it does not uninstall the previous version of the application. I have been looking in the Upgrade Table and everything seems to be right. I have also tried to add a new line there to make sure everything with versionsnumbers and upgradecode is right, but everything is.
We are currently running MSN Messenger 7.5 (7.5.0324) and are upgrading to Live Messenger 8.0 (8.0.0812.00), both in swedish version.
Has anyone faced this problem before?
