Linking K1000 Assets to Asset Lists

I have an asset called "Monitors" that contains an Asset number (unique), an Employee ("user") and a "Location" aloing with a few other descriptive fields.   When first created the monitor asset is assigned to a user and a location, both of which are elements in their respective tables (in other words must be selected..no freeform data entry).   When I view the monitor assets I can see the names and locations, but when I open a monitor asset all I see in those two fields is "unassigned".  If I save the record w/o making any changes, the user and location info is lost.  Interestingly any of the other text fields are retained.  Any thoughts out there.

Much appreciated.

Contact Kace Support.  They can install a patch to fix the error.

  • Thanks much. That was the ticket. One would have thought something as basic would have been caught during testing. - sbloom9387 11 years ago

What version are you running?  I noticed this in 5.4. This issue is fixed in 5.4SP1.
