Ldap label to get computers in an OU?

I can't seem to get this to work, I've tried a few variables and never get results. I thought this should work. I don't want to change the base DN and just leave it at the root. Sorry if this is a silly question, still new.

(&(objectClass=computer)(Name=CN=*,OU="ou name",OU="ou name",OU="ou name",DC=domain,DC=local))

Then tried

(&(objectClass=*)(Name=CN=*,OU="ou name",OU="ou name",OU="ou name",DC=domain,DC=local))

Here is an LDAP label that works in our environment:

Base DN:

DC=fas,DC=lcl

Advanced search:

(&(name=KBOX_COMPUTER_NAME)(distinguishedName=CN=KBOX_COMPUTER_NAME,OU=Academic Advising,OU=Departments,OU=GPO Exceptions,DC=FAS,DC=LCL))

When the machine updates its inventory the appliance will place the computer's name in place of KBOX_COMPUTER_NAME to check for a match.
