Launching an applicaiton in Monitoring Phase.
Hi All,
In monitoring phase after installing applicaiton we need to launch the shortcut at monitoring phase.....
What is the major difference in launching the shorctut in monitoring phase.
Is it preferable that we should launch the shortcut in monitoring phase or we can exclude it.
Please reply back me.

You should always launch the app during monitoring in order to capture any installation or configuration information which is generated/changed at that stage. You may find that the shortcut doesn't work in which case you will need to run the exe (including any parameters) manually..

The only difference I can think of between launching during monitoring fase and launching in the.. well, "app launching" fase is that the last one will store the settings written during launch in block 1 for faster startup. If you skip the launch application fase, it won't create a block 1. if you launch it on both, I have no clue if the files will be moved to block 1.
However, I have never experienced any problems with missing settings when only launching apps in the launch fase.
