Kbox Agent not connecting on some machines

We have observed that on some win 7 machines Kbox Agent is not connecting. We have already performed the steps mentioned in Agent Troubleshooting KB article, and have confirmed that there is no Network related problem. We have also removed the agent with KACE folder and manually reinstalled it but no hope.

Below is the SMMP logs. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Due to all the logs involved and scenarios in the faq it is best if you open a ticket for this type of issue.

This tells me that the agent has never bootstrapped. Was it removed / reinstalled / re-provisioned? Try to run "runkbot 1 0" on it.

Afzal, do you have a link for the "Agent Troubleshooting KB" article that you mentioned? I am having a similar problem, but with both Windows 7 and Windows XP computers.... I posted about it here:

Thanks!

I have managed to solve most of the agent connectivity problems by removing all .Net versions and then installing .Net 1.1 that comes with Kbox. Below is link for KB artical.

http://www.kace.com/support/kb/index.php?action=artikel&cat=3&id=713&artlang=en

Yes, Gerald we have reinstalled the agent 2 times but no hope.

For agents version 5.1 and lower .Net 1.1 does come with the bundle and is a requirement . It should also be noted that we actually recommend .Net 1.1 sp1. However, microsoft does not have a re-distributable version of it so you have to download it yourself:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/kbarticle.aspx?id=318785
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=33

For agents 5.2 and newer you do not need .Net at all.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
