KACE deploying Profwiz (ForensIT)

we are moving active directory domains and wanted to use KACE to roll out the profwiz exe that will auto join the computer and migrate user profiles. If I run the exe from a local machine it works perfect - so when I go to Kace and setup a script, added the EXE to a dependency list - told it to launch a program $(KACE_DEPENDENCY_DIR)\migrate.exe

and so on the client then I get an application error "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142) click ok to close application" is this a KACE issue or something else?

  • Uncheck the "Select Specific Operating System" box and choose Microsoft Windows from the box below. Then make sure your script is running with the appropriate permissions...my guess would be Local System permissions. - h2opolo25 9 years ago
  • I actually found the issue and - I had in the migrate config file it using local admin password and username. Kace was trying to run it as system account. I took out the local username/passsword and then it worked perfectly - kevin.mcgillicuddy 9 years ago
