KACE API: Can one remove a machine from inventory?
I'm looking for a way to decomission servers out of the K1000.
I can delete an asset record for a machine, but I'm drawing a blank on how to remove the system from inventory.
Can this be done via the API? I know I can do this in the GUI, but how bout the API?
I see no DELETE in api/machines/{id}

Hey, did you find a solution to this - we want to use the API to delete devices also?

how about using the MIA settings from inside the appliance (Inventory| Choose One |MIA settings) to remove the device automaticly if not used anymore?

We've considered the MIA settings, but for us, it would be better to be able to remove it, and it's associated asset, at the moment of decommission.
Other inventory systems in our environment get a list of assets out if KACE, so if we used the MIA settings, our other systems would also have presumably stale data as well.
Anyway, thanks for the answer.
In the end, it would be nice to be able to manipulate inventory from API, like delete them, or add labels, etc. - ndelo 6 years ago
