K2000 ver 4.0.695 - how to reactivate RSA service on a VM in a remote site

Hello,

I have installed K2000 v 4.0.695  in a site and activated it as a Remote site (RSA).
I tested it and worked perfectly.
Then I moved server to the final site destination and just changed IP address of the RSA.
PXE is ok and find RSA with the new IP@, but the boot system still search the file in the old IP address. .... I don't find where he store this old IP settings.

Second troubles is now, I click on clear RSA configuration and no I don't have any possibility to reactivate it. I just have the message that Remote site is deactivated ;-(
How can I activate it again ?
I would like to keep this VM as well because of 60GB of package that I need to sync again with the main site.

Thanks for your help
Thierry

  • I might suggest to use the IP address in the linking of the RSA to the appliance (this way it doesn't need DNS to resolve out). As for PXE boot, was the KBE created with a hard coded IP address? If it was coded to the RSA and that IP changed it would then attempt to contact the K2 as a backup.

When you say clear RSA configuration, are you talking about it being listed in the Deployments>Remote Sites? - TheAustinDave 6 years ago
  • Maybe this is happening?

I know you did no cloned it... but you moved it to another network - Channeler 6 years ago
  • Ok I solved it by simply reset RSA configuration in the RSA, on K2000 I deleted existing link, and create a new link again. IP address is coded in the RSA when you create link.
    Then solved.
