So we just upgraded our system from 5.x to 6 and when I went to login to the user portal (Welcome screen), I noticed that under IE the previous logo didn't show and under Chrome it did show but since the backgrounds had changed it looked aweful so I redid the logo. Now it does not show on either one and I just see the Kace logo. Once I do logon I see it at the top of the screen as expected but again, not on the Welcome/logon screen.

Is there a specific size or properties the logo needs to have to show there? If I go http://k1-name/system or admin and go to settings, general settings I see where I can customize the Welcome message and text but not the actual logo so I am assuming it uses the same as the little one in the user portal/service center. I looked the admin guide for 6.0 and the explanation is the same as it was for 5.x:

 

User Console The logo or other graphic displayed at the top of the User Console.

Follow these guidelines for graphics:

• 224 pixels wide by 50 pixels high is the default size.

• 104 pixels wide by 50 pixels high stays inside the blue

highlight around the Log Out link.

• 300 pixels wide by 75 pixels high is the maximum size that

does not impact the layout.

 

Well I already had these properties on my previous logo before the upgrade which showed in Chrome but not in IE. Has anyone else had this issue?

  • We're having the same issue. When we upgraded to v6.0 the logo remained in the top left corner of the user portan when you're logged in. However, when you sign out and your back to the login screen the logo is missing in IE but not with Chrome. What gives?

  • I am having the same issue. I can change the logo in the top left of the User Console, but not the one on the Welcome Screen itself.
