K1000 Service Desk: Role for User to see all Tickets for Location

I'm in a school district and principals want to be able to see all tickets for their building. Is there a way to create a role or a view that will let them do this in the user interface? Or can it be done in the admin panel with very limited privileges?

Without separating the different locations into queues, you basically can see your own tickets (submitted or owner) or all tickets (owner).  As far as I am aware, there is no way to grant viewership to a location at this time.

You can create a read-only admin role or use the one that is built in, but that would have access to see all tickets that are in that queue.

  • Ended up creating read-only admin role that can only see helpdesk and instructed technicians to help create a custom view for them. I just assume KACE can do anything... like make my coffee and toast. - lmland 11 years ago
    • It's actually a good idea, I wish the K1000 had that ability. Please submit it here as a feature request: http://kace.uservoice.com/forums/82699-k1000 - jknox 11 years ago
  • I called support to verify that it was not possible. I did submit a feature request as well. Turns out Read-only permissions on help desk means you can view the list view of work orders but you are not able to open tickets to see details. Not sure why that wasn't included. - lmland 11 years ago
