K1000 Service Desk

Hi,

I have a question about the Kace K1000 Service Desk. I would like to know if it's possible to enable a field depending upon the user choice in another field (based on assets)...?

For example:

  • if I choose the Hardware::Computer category, a field list only the computers
  • if I choose Hardware::Printer, the same field list the printers only
  • if I choose Software, the list display all my software

Is it possible to have something like that or not?

Unfortunately this kind of functionality is a step too far for KACE, what you seem to be asking for is not only a dynamic lookup but a dynamic lookup based on the output of another field. Whilst we can populate results in a custom field using the Query option, the SQL statement within that field would need to be complex, potentially too complex for a simple single line field.
