Is there any way to change the field on a new helpdesk ticket the due date to be a drop down box instead of the the pencil > select the date?

We don't think our users will no what to do with how it's currently presented.

The next release is going to include more custom field types that include date fields. If they use the same GUI as the asset module then date fields will use a drop down instead of the edit button, but until it's released we won't know (unless there's an engineer reading this and can answer for us). Otherwise you'll have to educate your users.

  • I have 5.4.68193 (release candidate 3), and the date looks the same as 5.3 so I would expect that the GA would not introduce this.

    It's something that KACE Professional Services could probably customize, but that would be a paid service.
