JRE 1.5 update 14

Hi,

Can any one tell whether java will do repair or not.

My Vendor MSI has four .zip files installing in common files. while installing these are getting extracted and installed in program files\java. Actually these zip files was setted as key path. so i repaired using that zip file ( i deleted one zip which is has keypath). it is reparing fine in common files. but it is not working in program files ( that is those are getting deleted are not putting back). plz can any one help me regarding this.

I don't believe it does support a repair operation. One clue might be the lack of any repair option in the maintenance GUI. More specifically, the three "unzipcore" custom actions in the MSI (which unpack the zip files to the Program Files folder) are all conditioned to only run on the initial installation and not on repair. I think Sun's recommendation for repairing JRE (at least for this version) is, I believe, to uninstall and then reinstall.
