Join Label In K1000 - Post Install Task?

Anyone know if I can create a Post Install task, that forces a newly imaged PC to join a label in K1000? Basically I would like to keep the image I create as small as possible. Once the machine is done (KBOX Agent is part of the Post Install) I would like to to auto join a K1000 label for the remaining software distribution pieces.

The altenative would be to use a Smart Label in K1000...just not sure what parameter I could get it to look for.

Here are a few videos that might be helpful from recent Kontinuing education seminars we've done:

I haven't watched either of those, but the first one sounds exactly like what I was going to suggest: use custom inventory (by placing a file or writing a registry key) to then apply a smart label to machines. Of course, the last deployment/scripting run should remove this inventory item if you don't want the machines to remain in the smart label. Or, you could exclude machines from the smart label that already have all applicable software...

You've got several options.

The latest version of the K2000 3.3, does lay down a file already that you can use to create your custom inventory rule.
