Is there a way to stop software being installed/updated if a different version is on the client

I have a number of different clients that have MS Visio distributed to them through a label, the versions of visio differ slightly from client to client. They are all using Visio Standard 2010 but the version umber is different. The problem I'm having is that the clients with versions that do not match that of the distribution keep having it pushed out to them, but because I am using an /adminfile they receieve an error saying that an /adminfile can only be used on a new install - the software isthen marked as not installed and when the client updates with K1000 again, it pushes out the software again.
