Is it possible to Add links to KACE Alerts?

I am trying to add a link to an alert so users can refer to a policy that we have regarding reboots.  the alert runs after a user has not restarted a computer in x amount of days.

When I add the link it doesn't appear in the alert.

  • Interesting, Mine works if I take the other verbage out....I'm not sure how to attach an image or I would show you what I have. - rsm11 10 years ago
  • Please Restart your computer as you leave the office today. Your computer has not restarted for at least 10 days and requires a reboot. For more information regarding the OIT Reboot Policy Please Refer to the following website:

That's what it says though. - rsm11 10 years ago
    • How are you doing this? I'd love to implement this here. - petelanglois 10 years ago
      • What part did you want to know more about? How I'm doing the Custom Inventory and smart label or the alert? - rsm11 10 years ago
      • Yes how you're getting it to all work. If you can post more information about exactly how you are getting this to work that would be great. We have a company recommendation to shut down daily. Most people do but we have machines that routinely are in the 30 days or more category for uptime. I need that to cease as it's getting in the way of patching. - petelanglois 10 years ago
  • I created a quick blog entry with all of the VBS code and specifics to make it work. If you have any questions feel free to let me know.

  • Try with some variations and multiple lines. even one word per line, you will start to see issues. I just worked with KACE and they recognize this as a bug. - rsm11 10 years ago
