Internet Explorer 8.0

Hi, can some one please help me to create a package for IE8 silent install. Also can we do upgrade from IE7 and IE6 to IE8.

If so what is the procedure...please guide me.
I am already using the following command line using a Custom action in MSI.

IE8-WindowsXP-x86-ENU.exe /quiet /norestart /update

but if i use the above cmd line, IE8 is not installing properly.

Thanks,
Ramu

One, I think you'll find it next to impossible to install IE8 without a reboot before it'll work. Two, I'd leave it to WSUS/Windows Update. It's a well-trodden, proven path. Better yet, why not create a new build and include IE8 in it, with no junk fronm previous IE iterations.

Try removing the unneeded /update parameter. /update requires an update msp file to install. /quiet /norestart should work fine.

Thanks airwolf.

I have removed /update and it worked for me.
