When installing programs that depend on Windows Installer, the installation becomes interrupted and "Internal Error 2869. ErrorDialog" box is displayed. Upon clicking on "OK" the installation rolls back. Sometimes a message will appear stating that installation of the program was terminated due to an error. This has been going on several months. Sometimes if I'm persistent in clicking on the installation exe file, it will execute the program but if the program is a biggie, it won't install. Also, lately when I delete or move files, Windows Installer tries to take over and install an existing program. Any direction would be appreciated.

How are you installing the program and does your user account have permission to install applications?
Could you please log the installation and post it here?
