InstallShield - Hiding Dialog Forms
Hi all,
I have an issue with InstallShield not hiding all of the Dialog Forms.
There are two fields that i have changed to try to hide the forms.
Hidden = True
Modal = False
However, the Setup Progress Dialog Form still shows up during the install. What can i do to make sure NO Forms are shown? I don't want to crack the MSI open with Orca to remove it manually, it must be done inside the InstallShield. By the way, I am not talking about silent install via command line, I am talking about User Interactive install (user initiates an install by doubl clicking on the package) The goal is not to display any forms.
Any help?
Thanks
Al

This is an odd request.
To "hide" dialogs, I don't think you any choice but to change the MSI's behaviour by altering the sequence or conditioning their appearance in the InstallUISequence table. Careful, though: you may not want to disable all the dialogs (e.g. maintenance ones). If this is a vendor-supplied MSI, you would be advised to use a transform to do that. Having said that, specifying a transform means using a command line, in which case, why not just specify a silent, no UI install?
