Installing Managed Software - Elmo ImagMate

The package I have built to install Elmo ImageMate software takes an hour to install.

The package installs fine if I double-click the MSI on the workstation but when I push it via GPO it gets stuck on "Installing Managed Software..."
It eventually gives me the login screen after an hour. Then when a user logs on it takes another hour to get to the desktop. At which the Install Drivers dialogue box appears and the user can successfully install the drivers.

Any ideas/advice on what to check for in the MSI to reduce the install time?

thanks

Enable verbose logging (which you can do via GP) temporarily. The log will show you what's going on. I can't remember what the entry number is for "ticks" but it'll be obvious when you look.

I'm also confused how your users are installing drivers when the policy delivering the package is clearly machine-based. Are there user-level elements? For a driver package?!?

Thank you for your response.

I have enabled verbose logging on my test machine. There are a number of "PNF not created" & "Error 1168" messages.

Yes the package is machine-based.
I have enabled both the following:
"Load and unload device drivers"
"Allow non-administrators to install drivers for these device setup classes"

A couple of nanoseconds using Google suggests that the 1168 error occurs when using unsigned driver(s).
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
