Installing "Adobe flash player 21" via kace

Hey guys,

I have deployed the new "Adobe flash player 21" MSI via the k1000 to a test machine.

When I force an inventory of the machine from the k1000, it shows me flash is installed.

But on the machine itself, in control panel....add/remove programmes,

I can't see it in the list of software installed.

Am I missing something...... Is it installed properly?

Also I heard Flash needs a license now....???

Thanks Guys

Most likely, you're not using the enterprise-deployable flavour of Flash which is available as an MSI. I suspect you're running an EXE, from which an MSI which gets extracted and executed. That MSI probably has the property ARPSYSTEMCOMPONENT in it.

Also, you should use the enterprise-deployable flavour of Flash, for which you need to "sign" a distribution agreement with Adobe. Perhaps this is what you're thinking of as a "license". These get turned around pretty quickly, normally within 24 hours. Once you've got that MSI, you'll need to apply a transform to it with that property removed. Note that that's "removed", not "set to 0". If it's present and has any value, you'll get the same result so make sure it's removed.
