Installer 1335 errors! (random)

Hey guys...

I just did a fresh install of XP Pro with SP2... all seemed well, except from some driver errors. and among other things.. so i did a repair.. and all was working fine!

I started setting up my computer.. install macromedia stuffs, and the rest of the things i used..

Then i wanted to install some games.. that's where i noticed that something could be wrong in my system..

What me and my friends do is share these CD/DVD images that we mount using Nero Image Drive..

To cut to the story short, everyone could install properly except me.. I always get this error during installing:

Error 1335. The cabinet file '(RANDOM FILES HERE)' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.

- where RANDOM FILES HERE is the random error.. inconsistent files.. sometimes it's a texture error, sometimes it's map error.. etc.. Some of the games I tried to install are UT2004 and FarCry.. I thought it was bad media, but they are DVD/CD Images that I copied onto my HD. Also, they worked with everyone else BUT ME. I also tried installing over LAN a few times, mounting them images via the network.. same thing..

I've tried everything i could think of.. I down clocked my CPU, i removed DMA from all drives, I did a msconfig edit and set my MaXMEM=1024... I tried reinstalling NERO as well as Installing another version.. I even tried reinstalling SP2, doing another XP Repair, etc..

I was up all night with my friends bugging this out (we are supposed to do a little LAN Party)..

I also tried installing a from a CD (not an image) thinking that it could be image drive problems on my computer.. unfortunately, i experienced the same thing. And i remind you that all of these copies are good copies..

Finally after sooo many attempts i did notice a pattern.. it seems that the errors are always on the 2nd or 3rd CD.. the first CD (mounted nero drive image, or actual CD) is always ok.. then it asks for the 2nd CD.. middle of that part, the error pops up... sometimes i get to the 3rd CD.. but that's as far as i can get..

Some people online said it may be a bad ram.. could it be? I've ran numerous 3DMark03 benchmarks on this computer.. played heavy games on it such as NFSU2, FarCry, LOTR Battle for Middle Earth.. not a hickup..

Guys, please help.. i'm really really bugged out with this one...

My SYSTEM:
XPSp2
Intel P4 2.4Ghz
1GB 400Mhz RAM
GeForce 6800
400w PSU
1 HItachi Desktar 80GB
1 Maxtor 160GB
MSI 865PE Neo2 Platinum Edition

I hope some of you will give this a little attention..

I'd guess at a RAM fault - look on Google for Docmem or something similar.
