Install to ALL Xp Profiles

Is there a way to package an MSI so it installs to every profile under C:\Document and Settings\username?

I would normally create the MSI to install to the %userprofiles% and have SMS install it per user but we use LANDesk in this enviroment and the administrator says it can not do this type of install.

Thanks in advance

Tony

You can use Active Setup with a standalone script or EXE to install the file(s)
You can also use the DuplicateFile table within the MSI.

There's an excellent article on Active Setup on this site.

Depending on what you are deploying, you may be able to use Self-Healing to take care of this problem.

Just create a new feature and put all your profile specific stuff into the feature and make sure your shortcuts are advertised. Then when a user clicks on the shortcut, it will check for the key item (which can be changed) within each component. If one is missing it will repair the entire feature and install all the feature components.
