Hi,

We decide the application complexity based on:

1) Installation time

2) Size of the pakage

3) No of custom actions required to be developed.

4) Amount of custimization required in the package.  etc

Based on all these parameters we decide the complexity of the application.

And what exactly do you do with that information? I ask because it seems to me that, by the time you've gone through that process, the app is packaged and it doesn't matter whether it was simple or complex.

In General - Every customer will be having their own complexity metrix.

Individual -  What is simple for one may be complex for others and vice versa..

you could base your complexity on a compatibility report from AdminStudio, ChangeBASE, AppDNA or Microsoft ACT!

That will give you at least some info without the need of repackaging..

Or you can decide afterwards ;-) by reporting why this was a complex application:

- # files

- # Services, Drivers

- # Custom actions

- Type of installation ( dependencies, runtimes etc..

ofcourse this must be agreed upon when starting the project...

Good luck
