if a device is added manually to a managed install, then if device is re-imaged and named differently, will MI push anyway, based on MAC address?
for example, machine ABC is added to MI Office 2013.
Office 2013 is installed on ABC, no one removes it from the list of devices needing Office 2013.
machine ABC is re-imaged and renamed, is now named DEF
will DEF show up in list of devices needing Office 2013, because it is the same machine?

This depends on whether or not the computer retains its "KUID" (KACE unique identifier). That depends on your re-image process: K2 can get/re-apply the KUID but maybe you have another process. The easiest way to check is to search for both computer names and see if there are two records (KUID not retained; MI will target "old" and not "new") or one record (KUID was retained; MI will target the machine).
