IE9 Silent Uninstall Problem

I created a custom IE9 install by using the Microsoft IEAK9 for IE9. My install works perfectly will all my customizations. However, when I run the MSI uninstall key that is listed in the registry I am prompted to locate the IE9 Msi installer. When I point it to the IEAK Output MSI file (which it already had found) it says that it is not a valid IE installer package.

I can run the uninstall from the control panel without any problems, but I like to have a silent uninstall script if I need to perform any reinstalls (happened a few times with IE8 roll-out) Has anyone else run into this problem or know a way around it?

Thanks.

Hi,

I am also facing the issue of trying to find an uninstall switch for IE9.

I have no customisations and am just installing using silent switches(/silent).

I have not been able to find any switches for uninstallation other than going through the Control Panel.

Currently IE9 installs only after a much required REBOOT.Is it possible to suppress this and have it installed immediately without REBOOT.

Any help will be appreciated.
