IE7 Packaging

hello,

i have package IE7 using the internet customization toolkit provided by Microsoft. However, now i need to make a change to the package, adding an entry into the list of trusted sites.

what i want to know is:

1. where is the list of trusted sites stored on the computer so that i can append the list without changing the entire package and replacing it with the existing one.
2. If i am to change the package again using the toolkit, there seems to be no option where i can add the name to the list.

Can anyone suggest me what can be the best practice by which i can achieve what is desired? Thanks a ton for your help in advance.

with best regards,
Tushar Singh.

just capture the settings.

start a capture. add trusted site stop capture.

the content is where the keys are you require.

this tool is a little faster and cleaner than using wise / installshield to do simple registry tasks such as this.

hi,

thanks a lot for that approach and i found that the entries are added in HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Internet Settings\Zone Maps\Domains.
In this an entry can be added for the respective domain trusted site.

Thanks a lot for your assistance.

Ther is a lot of useful information about the different possibilities in this MS KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/303650/en-us
