IBM Cognos TM1 10.2.2

Hi chaps

I am trying to install the above application (IBM :-.) using a response file which I created - issetup.exe - ats "location\response-new.ats.  Also tried the response file that resided in the setup folder.

It states stated here how to perform a silent install:

http://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSEP7J_10.2.1/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.c8bizos_ig.10.2.1.doc/t_cbizos_instrunningtheinstallationprograminsilentmode.html

However when I run the setup I receive the following error:

The documentation states:

License not accepted error message.

If you see the following error message, ensure that the file is tagged as ASCII.
DS_MSG_PREFIXIDS_COPYRIGHT_LOGOIDS_MSG_START_INSTALL_UNATTENDED
IDS_MSG_PREFIXIDS_MSG_READ_ARCHIVE License not accepted
inside response file "/u/cognos/c10/response.ats".
Setup cannot continue.

For example, to tag the file, use the following command:

chtag -t -c ISO8859-1 /u/cognos/c10/response.ats

Where does the chtag file exist or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Thanks in advance

I was able to repackage this application using InstallShield. Tried using that .ats file but didn't workout for me

Sorry I did not post the solution previously, although it was very simple.

Open the ATS file in "Wordpad" (as it's easier to read) and modifiy the following entry:

I Agree=y (originally it was set to n)

Then it's a case of running the setup with -s response.ats.

I don't know why IBM make their installers so convoluted, after all it's a wrapper around an MSI.
