HummingBird Exceed 2007

Hi,

I m working on HummingBird Exceed 2007 Package. Vendor has released MSI for the same. Now Application puts an Shortcut (NameSpace) over desktop. This shortcut is not an .lnk it is a user based namespace. Now the issue is If I disable the feature which is creates Desktop icon then HummingBird Neighbourhood shortcut under StartMenu also doesn't work.
I want to get rid of the desktop icon without affecting the functionality.

Please let me know if Any one has faced same issue and how to resolve it.

Thanks in advance.....

~Cheers
Jimit

Delete the following registry key :-

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\{DB8DC413-C0AA-11D0-9545-080009B1C2F3}

Are you using the /qb switch to install your application? Try it with /qb- instead.

Also this link will help you to understand the behaviour of the Restart Manager: click

Please don't hijack threads! Your issue is a generic one, not really related to the applicaion discussed in this thread.

Find a WMI-based process termination script and use that instead or use XP's built-in TaskKill tool.
