how to save Office 2007 to documents to pre-2007 (i.e. not in .docx/.xlsx) format?

Hi

Is there a way to package the Office 2007 so that it saves the docuemnts in the Pre-2007 format not the docx/.xlsx format?

Can we create any Macro for the same?

Thanks In Advance

Yes you can change the default save format via the custom setup (run setup /admin the setting are in Features/Modify User Settings).

Or you can use Group Policy..

When you use the customisation wizard to cusomise your installation and set license keys etc, you can set the formats from there (you have to do them for each program). You can also use the admin templates for Office 2007 in Active Directory.

Launch the setup with the /admin switch to view the Admin configuration interface of the setup.

i.e.
<path>\setup.exe /admin

Once the changes are made save it in <path>\Updates folder ( it's a filename.msp file).

Now just run the setup and you've a silent install of MS Office.
