How to reflect HKCU (HKEY_CURRENT_USER) changes to HKLM

hi there,

I am working on a software which has got certain services running whenever it is launched. They run from system account and only access HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE settings.

The software has certain association with ADOBE ACROBAT 7.0 and therefore has to access its settings. In ADOBE ACROBAT 7.0 to enable security setting we have to set the bCertStoreImportEnable in HKEY_CURRENT_USER settings.

Is there any way so that we can set security settings in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE settings
or can reflect changes made in HKCU to HKLM.

Thanks in Advance

yes, there is, it's called ActiveSetup and Ed Tippelt has written a good article on it which I have used many times.

Hi there,

thanks for ur reply

in my case i have to enable some options in ADOBE Acrobat

to do this i created the same entries as in local machine registry as in current user and it worked, (after restarting the system) . I dont whether this is the right method or not but it worked for me.

Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't. It depends on how the app was coded.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
