How to handle errors in MSI Custom Actions so that they can be retrieved by SCCM server?

hi all,
Does anybody know how one can handle errors (missed file, e.g) in MSI Custom Action (VBScript) so that the result of this handling can be obtained by SCCM server and administrator could see what is going wrong? Actually, I need to restore some files, previously backuped and now stored in certain folder. If there are no such files I would like that SCCM server administrator could see that this is the reason why package uninstallation fails...

You could author a system search to check for the existance of the files before the MSI does anything to do with the uninstall.
This will exit gracefully and return a code to SCCM.

Thanks,
