Hey,

there is nothing like Corel do not have any solution to this.
I have got the solution to this problem :)
For this you need to:
1. Go to View menu -> select Customize... option -> Select 'Help' in the Categories section
2. Now Go to Help menu -> select the 'Check for Updates...' option, now Drag this option and drop it in the 'Help' category in the customize window we had open as per point 1

The 'Check for Updates' option will be removed from the list.[;)]

Same method you can use for any menu items you want to remove..

In the background, it actually modifies many registries in HKCU hive....

I hope this answers your question [:)]

I would think it unlikely that you'd be able to access the menu structure. Normally in these cases, it's easier to have your network Johnnies make the update site/page unobtainable via the firewall or proxy server. However, the best people to ask would be whoever owns the Corel product list this week.

Thanks Chief! Yes I will liaise with the vendor. If I'm not mistaken its in a DLL file which I dare not extract and mingle with it. Will keep it posted if I find anything from the vendor.

Well well..Corel came back saying that there is no feature to grey out the menu functions let alone disable it. However they claim to integrate this in the next release. Till then, we shall wait
