How Do I Set a Custom Patch Schedule to Run Every 3rd Saturday of Each Month?
I would like to set our Patch Schedule to run on the 3rd Saturday of every month @ 1am. I am having issues figuring out exactly how to set that up according to their quick tip directions though.
Could anyone provide some insight on how to achieve this?

You can't set it to, say, the 3rd Saturday of every month. What I do is use cron tab (Run Custom) under "Patch Schedule" to set the date range as, again, you cannot set it to 2nd Wednesday of the month. BUT what you can do is use cron tab (search ITNinja for tips) to specify the range of days and then use some power management to wake your machines during that date range and time.

That is an example of cron tab. This runs at 1 A.M. every day between the 15th and 21st of the month. I spent a lot of time trying to get it to work on a certain day. You'll read some documentation, even in Kace's own server administrator guide that states you can set a day of the week but it does not work. That is from both my own testing and from Kace technical support. I use power management software to control the day of the week that the machines wake based on when I want them to patch.

One popular solution for this is to create a smart label that only applies to machines on the third Saturday of the month. The patching schedule is set to run every Saturday but since the label only gets applied on the third Saturday machines only get patched once a month. Here's a post that has more information on how to setup the smart label:
