How do I restart the K1000

Is it possible to restart the kbox from the web interface? I've changed a couple of settings and said Yes to the restart prompt, but it isn't actually restarting. It's in a remote location (same town, but still...), so I sure hope this can be done.

Thanks.

Do you have any errors in your error log? Sometime the amp server takes a while to shutdown as it's closing a bunch of connections.

FTR, You can restart it on the server maintenance tab.

Do you have SSH enabled? If so, support can SSH to it from your machine (in a GoToMeeting or similar) to reboot it from command line.

Criminy! Can't believe I missed that on the server maint page. Thanks.

You can login to your own kbox terminal as user "netdiag" and password "netdiag" and issue a "reboot" command. You cannot do this over ssh though.

Does the server reboot button under the Server Maintenance tab actually reboot the appliance, or just the tomcat web app? The only log that indicates a restart is tomcat, and when I refresh the page after a couple of minutes, my admin session is still connected and I don't need to log in again.

FWIW, today I physically restarted our kbox and now see things happen that didn't happen when I used the reboot button in the web interface (security settings changes that took effect, troublesome app installations starting to work, etc). It could be that the web interface itself was having a problem that has been fixed with the physical restart, so I'll test that again later. But the upshot is, if you use the reboot option from the web interface, verify your changes or whatever the reason was for trying to reboot.
