How do I pause a postinstallation task

I am having problems with post installation task running at the same time

Another option if you are using the start command is to use the /wait switch to force a wait until the process exits before continuing.

Double check to make sure your post-installation tasks aren't batch scripts using the "start" command to run other installers. This could be one cause for overlap.

  • I am running some batch scripts that's the problem I believe. I have some that need to run "after" Autocad installs. - brentballard 12 years ago

  • Brentballard, if you run your autocad installation from a batch file using start /wait as others suggested the next post installation task won't be started until the install for autocad completes and the batch file that initiated it exits. - andibogard 12 years ago
