By the above i guess , u want to know if the task is completed ? For eg : if its an msi installation , check for the msi error code or the uninstall key, if present then u can add a registry value with Application name something like HKLM\Software\<Your client/company name>\<Application name>
Value can be Application Name = Installed. If you want you can use the system info to get the date & time info and add those also an additional value
Add registry as you would add it in MSI. There is no difference except that this registry will be stored inside MST rather than in MSI.
Add Default or Strind or DWord. Whatever you like.
