Often associated with the removal or upgrade of software, this error is reporting problems removing a key from the registry.
If the error message you see does not identify the key (2) and system error (3), turn on logging and retry the operation to generate these details in a log file.
System error (3) equates to a Win32 Error code. To determine the meaning of this error number, follow the simple process described here.
Still not getting anywhere? When keys are granted permissions to Administrator, but not the SYSTEM account this can sometime cause problems like this. Launch REGEDT32.EXE and navigate to the location identified in the error (2). Select the Key and select "Edit" and then "Permissions" from the toolbar. Add SYSTEM to have "Full Control" if you do not find this is already the case. Further, take a look at these permissions and the error (3) message to determine another permission setting that may be causing the problem.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
