Help building file with command line (AdminStudio)
Hi! First time poster!
I am failry new with AdminStudio and need some assistance adding the following information that i found in another post. (http://itninja.com/question/how-do-you-roll-out-new-machines?4199 Post#29)
"Create a CustomAction that simply builds the mms.cfg file at the end of the installation with a simple command line : cmd /c echo AutoUpdateDisable=1 > C:\Windows\system32\macromed\flash\mms.cfg"
Im trying to use AdminStudio to do this but cant seem to figure out the proper way to pass the command in my MSI. Orca would be fine too!
From the Direct Editor i see the Tables\CustomAction but i am unsure of to properly populate the fields. (Action, Type, Source, and Target). Maybe i am trying to do this from the wrong place?
Any assistance or guidance would be appreciated!
Thank you!
Steve

Like aogilmor said above.
But if you're determined to avoid adding a cabfile and use a CA, you could use the Installation Designer view in Adminstudio, choose Custom Actions and rightclick on the Custom Actions in the middle pane and choose "New Exe" > "Path referencing a directory". There you can edit the customaction accordingly.
